Dr. Anthony Hernandez, O.D., earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in 2021, following his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Central Connecticut State University in 2016. As a recent graduate, he is eager to give back to his Connecticut community by providing high-quality eye care and applying his extensive training to benefit local patients.
Dr. Hernandez specializes in fitting both soft and specialty contact lenses, including Scleral, RGP, and MiSight Myopia Control lenses. His clinical experience includes externships at the West Haven VA Medical Center, Dr. Boshnick: Global Vision Rehabilitation, and Eye Consultants of Colorado, where he honed his skills in a variety of optometric settings.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Hernandez has demonstrated his commitment to his community through roles such as a youth baseball coach and various leadership positions during his education. His strong work ethic and ability to connect with patients underscore his dedication to making a meaningful impact in both his field and his community.
